Stumped!

Comfortable win in the end, 78 runs. Artemis Fox brought up two great spells and only Veenstra really built an innings, and Frans Bronkhorst closed them off by removing the tail.

Hi All

I can see the 2 groups that my 2 teams play in but is there a way (link) to see the other two groups - the Friendly Tab in Stumped remains like something out of The Somme

Gun death bowler who can slog a few in the tail. No slouch in the field, will be good in T20s and effective in short spells in the OD.

ZCC pulled a 43 pot seamer with 15 stam, 16 fielding and Bullet Arm. Good player but Im not sure he fits into our plans tho. Will probably list him in a couple of days.

Squad has some how ballooned out to 29

Getting pumped in my two Div 2 comps so culling everyone over 24 as a first port of call

Ashgrove's bowling is up to 61.5K. Such that on a 15/100 wear pitch, chasing 171, ataraXIa only just made it. 24-4, 136-8, 167-9. Needed the steel nerves of Steve Ludlow to close it out.

5 players in that match are on the TM. 4 from Ashgrove, and Jan du Preez from my team, as I have acquired Arthur Branning in a quest to improve my batting stocks. JdP is a 34 skill top-order 29yo. If he plays two games a week, I don't think he'll drop again for the next 10 weeks, by which time he will be 30 and ready for coach or groundsmanhood. He has a penchant for long innings and is an adaptable player. The crowning jewel of his career was, in August 2020, scoring 134 (107) to pull off chasing 376 against the Velociraptors!

In my SOD a very similar game unfolded, we both chased down around 260 seven wickets and 47.4 overs down. In my case the old guard and the new worked together well. JdP, in his final competitive game was run out for 93 (131). A shame he couldn't get his tenth club century, but he does finish with a 50o average (without any not outs) over 50. In his club debut, Arthur Branning turned the match on its head with 47 (30).

I'm playing Morpork soon, and thanks to a few acquisitions will be fielding a very strong side. Five players on the TM for AXI; those who aren't just passing through my side are being bid on by the affiliate.

I had a stinker of a loss in OD, basically equal ratings and got pummelled by 150 runs. Bronkhorst had another bad game and despite him still having 39 skilll it might be time to put him into a coaching role.
I have never had a player of that level of actual skill - I see he had potential of 52. What was the highest his actual ever reached ? When was that? If there has been a fall is it because he has not had the games or just the passage of time?

Why would you put him out to grass so early when he is the best actual bowler you have total actual skill wise and not so epensive wage wise?
You are intimating he has lost form/touch yes because of his age - but form touch is a temporary thing isn't it and not influenced by age?

These are genuine queries on my part - hence all the question marks l :D I'm not querying your thought process, knowledge and experience- just using it as a learning lifebelt for me to grab onto !
