Stumped!

Today's match for Mooo is against Cow Corner.

They are batting first and looking impressive.

66/2 after 8 overs.

Toogood with a wicket, and debutant Mushtaq Jan with a run-out.

And the debutant is leading with the ball.

So far he's picked up 4 for 15 in 3 overs.

Jamil Gul is the only player to have taken 5 wickets on debut for Mooo. Can Jan be the second?

It turns out to be a thumping win in the end for Moooo CC.

Chasing a target of 131, Mooo got there in 11 overs with 9 wickets in hand. Cow Corner's bowlers were on the receiving end of some power hitting from Bart Way who made an unbeaten 79 off 34 balls with 9x4 and 4x6; supported by Tauseef Nazar who cracked an unbeaten 43 off 29 balls (6x4).

Also re @Charlie B 's question about keeper training times: Mthabela was pulled as a 2/18 and has played 115 games in 64 game weeks (not all as a keeper). If I coached him at all it was in the first weeks of his career

This is a lovely piece of work - thank you for sharing. So If I follow correctly 'Simba'has existed 68 weeks (20yrs 8 weeks less 16 years) and his keeping went up 11. You have 64 game weeks because there is a barren week each season (Players can 'pop'then though yes?).

From the graph I can see it has become more a struggle to go from 12 to 14 so that average of about 6 weeks for a pop is now declining to maybe 10?

So he may get to 15/16 by the age of 22 (as he seems due a pop to 14)

And then 16/17by 23 would still be possible?

It gives a great benchmark to what can be achieved without coaching on 2 games a week (as your chap has averaged 1.8 games a week over his 64 week career) - many thanks for sharing

Might as well chip in here myself. Zac Chambers was my second scout pull (4/17), playing 47 matches in 23 weeks (22 game weeks), all but two? as keeper. So that's a bit over 2 games a week. He has barely if at all been coached as keeping; the focus has been on improving his batting. 5 pops, about one per 10 matches.

You can pop in the matchless week (presumably based on Friday's od) but I left it out cos you can't play and it makes for a weird comparison

158 all out on a flat pitch with a MAS of 220. My batters can't seem to buy a run. Babar Ijaz tormented my batters, 5-22 for him. JdP the only batsman to get going (67 off 88). At least I've won 38 out of 41 competitive matches this season. That's only 8 human games though lol.

Ijaz was clutch.
Now, I don't know where captain Levy is going with this aggression.

8 pops, Richard Simmonds up to 28 bat, bowling AR Jasper Davey to 26 bat, and Frans Potgieter to 33 bowl the major ones. My selection woes are real.

For GG CC:

12 skill increases
1 skill decrease

The Human brothers both saw their experience boost up by one level.
Roger Attlee with a crucial ‘movement’ boast; great for this guy who can reverse swing it in the middle overs.

Kasun Obeysekere moves up in ‘shot selection’ and now can have a bit of competition with Cornelius Human to see who is the better all-rounder between the two of them.

Now waiting to see how the Moooo guys do…

GG CC, batting first today against Mooo are piling on the runs.

194/5 in the 35th over.

Expert preview:

Mooo- 46,177
GG- 46,599

Hope for a close contest.
