Stokes, Ashwin or Shakib?

randycricfreak

State Vice-Captain
Shakib is a decent player.Definitely not in the class of Stokes or in the consistency of Ashwin.

Shakib does have a big burden to carry being the country's premier test bat, and the bowler.Stokes is the more freer of the 3,being the 3rd change bowler and batting at 5/6.Ashwin is as good as any ATG level spinner, just that his batting is mediocre.

Shakib will keep on winning many a matches for BAN,with his slow left arm.Shakib does have the ability to become the first test ATG from Bangladesh

Stokes got himself a ban for punching someone
Also fractured his hand punching a locker

Shakib did a crotch grab on live tv
Also chickened out of a test series against SA

Ashwin meanwhile handled presser after presser when his more established teammates were too embarrassed to
Also is a member of mensa

The choice is obvious

We all know how gun AshWIN and Ben Chokes are, but people sleep on how good Shakib is.

Shakib would walk into any test side in the world ATM. Better than Ali/Rashid, better than Mishra/Jayant/Nohit, better than O Keefe/Lyon/MMarsh, better than Craig/Santner/Sodhi, better than anyone the West Indies or Zimbabwe have, better than any of the second-spinners Sri Lanka or Pakistan have, better than Maharaj/Shamsi. Literally makes any Test XI in the worl
He is probably better than our first spinner as well.

On a more serious note, how epic that we have both Ashwin AND Jadeja. It’s actually cheating...or it would be if we hadn’t underused them to an extent especially on overseas tours, particularly when Jadeja quite clearly became ridiculously good.

If I am not mistaken, Mushtaq did it twice against WI. That is some feat.

Not really convinced with England s handling of Stokes. He is playing in the SC as a specialist batsman and can't bowl at all ? Where is the point in that ?

As it stands now, in overall analysis,

Shakib > Ashwin > Stokes

Of course Jadeja is better than all these.

What i find mind boggling is that Botham had 10 + five fors and 10+ hundreds. Thats ridiculous. Yes he played 100 odd tests but that's crazy.
That also means he has a heap of crap performances too.

Kallis or Imran on other hand was much more consistent. Lesser stellar performances, lesser crap too.
