The results for Round 14 are on the board. Wins for all of last week's top 3, with my Cheats & Divers victory over the 4th placed Quintins allowing SKD & Rick to climb above them into 4th & 5th respectively.

At the bottom burkey manages to find some semblance of form as his Dragons surprisngly have too much for Gaurav's in-form Sad Decadent XI. His win lifts him from the foot, replaced by Sam Vimes's Glimt XI who suffer a 95 point thumping at the hands of the leader. NZT's Tawonga Tigers unluckily go down to Rick's the mingrats by the odd point in 145.

In a low scoring round Ben carries off the manager of the week honours with 139, with joint muppetry from Ash & broncoman with 45 apiece.

Sadly (for him :p) Marc is quite correct; in the big 2nd plays 3rd clash my very own Cheats & Divers down his AA returns to claw back three valuable points. Ben takes full advantage as his ***BJ*** defeat Dean's Quintins to open up a three-point cushion at the top. SKD's 4th-placed Rod Hull Emu Army go down to Matteh's in-form, if unimaginatively named Team Matteh, allowing the mingrats & Watson's Cumbrians to climb above him.

At the bottom NZT's Tawonga Tigers back up the last round's unlucky defeat with a win over bringbacksven!, a result which lifts them above burkey's Dragons who go down to bugs's 13 weeks early. Another defeat for Sam Vimes's Glimt XI means they occupy last for a second week. Broncoman's PSV Eindhoven & Slats's Ian Assault ease relegation worries with wins over Jamee's The Football Foxes & steds's Foreign FC, who'll both be glancing nervously over their shoulders now.

Ben again wins manager of the round with a robust 165 points & this round's muppet is Blewy, left raging about fixture congestion & a post-World Cup hangover with only 34.

Nah. Still not arsed enough to edit my team.

Late update this week to allow for the midweek games. It's as-you-were at the top, with all of the top six returning victories.

At the bottom Jamee's The Football Foxes defeat NZT's Tawonga Tigers to lift themselves out of immediate danger & into fourteenth spot. Despite the loss there's good news for The Tigers tho, as their relatively narrow loss means they climb above steds's Foreign FC who were thrashed by my very own Cheats & Divers. Further losses for burpey & Sam Vimes keep them rooted in nineteenth & twentieth respectively.

Manager of the round is dream team stalwart Anthony who returns a healthy 159, but waiting for that injection of Icelandic money is burpey with only 41.

Another late update because of the midweek games, but it's still business as usual for the top three. There are wins for my third-place Cheats & Divers and Marc's second placed AA returns. Marc's opposite manager possibly distracted by events elsewhere this week... (:p) In the big top of the table clash tho our leader Ben maintains his rock-solid form, downing the fifth-placed Watson's Cumbrians in a high-scoring thriller. Rick & skd unable to capitalise on Anthony's reverse tho, as both the mingrats & Rod Hull Emu Army go down to defeats.

Good news for several of our strugglers at the bottom. Greg's Tawonga Tigers surprisingly down Dav's Rod Hull Emu Army, burpey's Dragons defeat BM's PSV Eindhoven & in the relegation six pointer steds's Foreign FC register their first win in an age as they best Sam Vimes's Glimt XI , to leave Norway staring down the barrel somewhat six points adrift as they now are. Henrik Ibsen, Morten Harket, Roald Amundsen, er, Edvard Munch, that one out of Abba, can you hear me?! Your boys took a hell of a beating! :D

Well, after those kind words from my sponsor, the weekly update! ;)

Round 18 sees movement at the top of the table, Ben's mighty ***BJ*** just repel a robust challenge from steds's struggling Foreign FC to remain perched at the summit, but below him Marc's AA returns suffer a surprising reverse to slats's Ian Assault. Marc's slip allows my very own Cheats & Divers to leapfrog him into second, thanks to a win over the fifth-placed Watson's Cumbrians. The mingrats surrender fourth place to dav's resurgent Rod Hull Emu Army with a heavy loss to bringbacksven!

At the bottom NZT continues his fine run of form to thrash BM's PSV Eindhoven , hauling himself out of the bottom three in the process. Steds's unlucky loss to the leaders means he again finds himself in danger of the drop & there is another disappointing defeat for our brave Norwayanese challenger, who remains rooted to the foot.

& now, due to popular demand, Brumby productions™ now present a brand new feature (drum roll): Mattehwatch
- & it's good news for everyone's favourite besuited, Mansfield-supporting beardo this week as Team Matteh defeat burpey's struggling Dragons to remain in a fully respectable eight place.

Manager of the week is my own good self with 145 points, but Les Reed of the round is Simon with fully 116 less.

Fair play to Sportal, very prompt with the update to give us plenty of time to reorganise ahead of the Boxing Day fixtures. :)

In the big top of the table clash my very own Cheats & Divers manage to best Ben's ***BJ*** to reduce his lead to only three points. Marc stays level on points with me thanks to a victory over Ash's Perth Glory & in fact Ben's loss is the only reverse suffered by any of last week's top nine, with all the other teams registering wins to maintain the status quo. Blewy goes down to Dean's seventh placed Quintins, but remains in tenth, albeit with a reduced lead over Gaurav's Sad Decadent XI who triumph over bugs's 13 weeks early.

At the foot there's finally some good news for our Scandinavian challenge: Glimt XI get up against slats's Ian Assault in the only win for any of last week's bottom eight.

Now: Mattehwatch
& it's more good news for everyone's favourite Pippette-loving Anglo-Australio-German as Team Matteh secure manager of the round for him with a healthy 194 points. There'll be dancing in the streets of Bangor tonight!! Incidentally, props to NZT too, as his 171 was the second highest score but he unfortunately found himself up against a man at the height of his powers.

As it's Christmas I'm loathe to call anyone muppet of the round, but slats's 53 is the lowest total.

Well, well, well. It's all change at the top after the conclusion of Round 20. In a shock of seismic proportions Jamee's The Football Foxes find some form from somewhere to beat Ben's mighty ***BJ***. To rub salt in the wound my very own Cheats & Divers defeat Dav's fourth-placed Rod Hull Emu Army by enough to climb to the summit for the first time this season. Cream, as we know, always rises. (:p)

At the bottom there's another win for NZT's in-form Tawonga Tigers, who remain in the comparitiv safety of sixteenth. There's also good news for steds as Foreign FC down bugs's ailing 13 weeks early to climb out of the bottom three. Replacing him in the danger zone are broncoman's PSV Eindhoven, who went down to Dean's Qunintins who replace Rod Hull Emu Army in fourth as a result. Further defeats for burkey's Dragons & Sam Vimes's Glimt XI mean they're stuck in nineteenth & twentieth respectively.

Now, I can't let my public down, so it's time for the third installment of Mattehwatch.
& our very own Welsh Uni-attending musical snob is clearly blooming in the sunlight of attention as Team Matteh beat Marc's high-flying AA returns to climb into fifth spot. His 133 points also secures the coveted "Manager of the Round" sheepskin coat for the second time in succession too.

Finally, soon to be joining Les Reed at the Job Centre is this round's muppet burkey with a lowly 31.
