They relying on the fact that Warriors played a coloured over a black African. I hope they lose the case. And Warriors did say at the time for 'cricketing reasons'. It might not stand but again it shows the patheticness of the situation.

No precedent for this before and I guess CSA can say it was a points deduction rather taking the win away? If they said taking a win away CSA have ****ed it even more.
How do you logically argue infront of a judge(not a cricket person)that you deserve to keep the win but lose the points . Especially when dolphins got awarded points for a win.

We can argue whether those regulations should exist. For me they shouldn't but warriors knew this well before and ignored it.

The problem is nothing is written down about what the punishment should be. As far as I'm aware the rule is do this or else be punished.... And then the CSA decide on the punishment. Whether sensible or not. Effectively the argument here is we want this full punishment to occur because then we don't get relegated... And then you need to ask has that got anything to do with what the original punishment decided? Or any baring on how or why the Warriors were punished.

The court will need to rule whether the rules were implemented logically. Can you really argue its logically to give 2 teams a win from that one game which is what happens with warriors keeping the win and only losing points while dolphins also get a win.

Not having written rules of the punishment will also come back to bite. Courts tend to look down on those sorts of things.

Freestate will argue that the rules was illogically implemented and will cite examples of how other contact sports deals with teams using intelligible players.

It will be interesting how a judge rules this one. Its a complete mess.

Not like CSA to make a pig's ear out of something.

Outside the Tuskers who are being promoted & looking at their squad they were always favourites. Who else performed that could be in Div 1 next year?

Hardus Viljoen (Northern Cape Heat)
George van Heerden (SWD Badgers)
Jade De Klerk (Border)
Thomas Kaber (SWD Badgers)
Modiri Litheko (Northern Cape Heat)
Luke Beaufort (SWD Badgers)
Chris Britz (Easterns Storm)

All 7 of those players produced by Eastern Province or Titans.

Disappointing seasons for Ronan Herrmann at Northern Cape & Dewan Marais at Easterns.

So per CSA CEO both warriors and knights going through mediation process currently.
Per him the regulation requires them to go through mediation and arbitration before they can go to the courts.

This could take some time.
