There is no senior provincial First- Class experience bar Khumalo and Kitshini & that is 1 game each in Div 2. As opposed to England who has quite a bit.SA U19 squads chosen. 20 players for both squads.
5 players in the ODI squad not eligible for 2026 U19 CWC in Namibia/Zimbabwe
At this stage would say
Hansen > Hockly
Mason > Short
De Villiers > Bassick
Daniels > Basson
Mokoena > Majola
Would be the 5 in & 5 out for the WC. Short more a reliable and quality spinner but if they wanted an impact batsman and leggie then Free State have Daniel Hattingh & FG Botha.
Ross Coetzee was batsman of KMCW and missed out. I would still watch him.
Beni Hansen is captain of both squads.

In my opinion I think the biggest batting talents are Rowles & James. They can jol at any tempo in any format.
Hansen is a very good batsman/wk. Don't be made SA Schools captain 2 years in a row for nothing. But is compact so better the longer the format for me.
Pillay & Coetzee (not in the squads) are both highly rated in Durban & are in their HP system already. Could have 2 Pillay's in the Dolphins team soon. Coetzee showed why he broke Kearsney's record for most runs for the first team. On tough wickets in Khaya Majola Week he was head and shoulders the best batsman.
Lagadien is aggressive, maybe a bit loose for longer version opening but no doubt can get on top of a bowler
. Bosman also very sneaky accumulator and builds into excellent finishing innings.
Van Schalkwyk and Bulbulia are rightly longer version players who are capable of going big.
Raeeq Daniels & Nqobani Mokoena showed why they were in the WC squad in early 2024. Daniels was leading wicket-taker for seamers at Khaya Majola and Cubs Week. Ntando Soni is highly rated & also tall bounce bowler. JJ Basson (tall left-arm) & Buyanda Majola may just be the quickest. Although I haven't seen much of Carl Fryer but he does look strong & quick. Who makes the biggest fuss? Basson, Daniels & Majola long-term.
I'm unsure of the seamer all-rounders because De Villiers didn't quite live up to expectations & Mbatha has come from behind the pack. Both seem capable of injecting impetus with their batting though.
