Socceroos and Australian Football

Neither side deserved to win that really. Serbia were reduced to long shots and Australia lacked the quality in midfield.

Thought we looked good, missed the last 15 minutes of the first half, and we were the better side till the last 15 minutes when Wales went for broke. We tightened up a bit, but glad we held on.

International Coach
Caught the highlights, pity Wilshere's early effort didn't go in, cracking shot that.

is Kewell's international goose cooked?

Now I know how it feels to be a Brazil supporter when they play us.

Or us against England.

Haha, he always scores in the games he plays the worst. Such a weird player.

Pew pew on the team performance though.

Brisbane are so far ahead In terms of playing style. Closest thing we have to a half decent Euro club side. So good to watch.

Lol.

They're single handedly dragging the level of the A League up. They are a seriously good side.

Played for the Brisbane Roar (who are currently on unbeaten run of 32 games in the A-league, much of which McKay played an big part in), and love him tbh. Amazing workrate, and did a very good job running the midfield in Brisbane. Can play on the left as well, and has pretty much established himself as the Socceroos first choice left midfielder in the last 12 months. Want him back tbh :(

In terms of style, who would you compare him to?

Agree with all of this.

Hmm, tough one. He's a mini-Silva in terms of vision and passing (and lack of finishing, haha), but he's also very capable in defence.

He's quite different for an Australian player and it's made him stand out.

End of - he's quality.

Three points for Adelaide...

...but that was just awful from Australia. Missed McKay's creativity in midfield. Jedinak and Valeri looked like they couldn't be bothered. Credit to Oman. Wanted it way more.
