Not exactly sure what Holmans doing, spent more time in the centre/on the right than left where I'd assume he's supposed to be.Bit worried with Matty McKay at left back. Really have a shortage of left sided players at national level.
Heard on the radio a couple of days back that neither Iran nor Iraq were particularly impressive in the group stages. Seemed to suggest that neither team would be preferable over the other.India's goal against South Korea could be invaluable for us.
I've watched many of the matches and Japan, South Korea and Australia have looked head and shoulders above the restHeard on the radio a couple of days back that neither Iran nor Iraq were particularly impressive in the group stages. Assuming both teams progress, I think we might come unstuck against Uzbekistan, who have played some lovely football.I've watched many of the matches and Japan, South Korea and Australia have looked head and shoulders above the rest
Match is on 12:30am Sunday Morning (EDT). Should be another good game, although will be a few questions over our lineup given injurires/cards. I'm hoping Holman gets switched to the right with Emerton out, although I'm not certain then who'd play on the left. Maybe Kewell, with Macca stepping into his role.Pretty happy to draw Iraq, they haven't looked at all near their best this tournament.
Burgey, think it might be on Sunday night/Monday morning, but that's just a guess.
loldWill be an explosive match up.
