So what does the future hold for West Indies?

You will have some mega bragging rights if some of these potential players come through
Well i'm very confident GS!!, my last tip in the past (Barath) got a ton on his debut against Australia!! , i believe with Brathwaite it's not "if" he'll be a star it's a matter of "when" to be honest.

For some reason I kept thinking Braithwaite is 19, not 17. No need to rush him into the team or anything like that, he has plenty of time.

So one person not being experienced means the WHOLE SIDE isn't experienced at county level? yeah ok!! 8-) .
Actually, I've never heard of 4 of those bowlers, and the only reason I'd heard of Montgomery was because of his footballing past, so yes, it is a weak, inexperienced side.

Well seeing as 7 of the 11 bowled, I'd say it's a fair assumption.

Also, I can't see what relevance the keeper and the 3 specialist batsmen had to the batsman's innings?

As for Big Bravo, IMHO he doesn't deserve to bat at six....

He often gets out to irresponsible shots, and his average in Test cricket with the bat is not good. I don't believe he should bat higher than seven, until his batting is more consistent.

To be frank, I'm not convinced that he prides playing for the West Indies as high as he does for Mumbai....

On the other hand, you could make an argument that by elevating Bravo, you'd force him to accept responsibility.

So what about the fielders? they don't count anymore? btw the kid is 17 years old, putting down his efforts is a little frivolous imo because like i said there's not many 17 year olds doing with Kraigg is doing.

No-one's putting down his efforts.

Kudos to him for scoring runs, but he's not doing it against high quality opposition.

I just think that what he's doing is good for his age GF, but it seems like certain posters want to put down the quality of the opposition in an effort to put down Kraigg's performance, he got 80 against Zimbabwe the other day too, yes not the best team in the world but as we saw in the recent ODI series they've got some decent players, especially in the spin department.

I agree with you, he seems like a terrific prospect.

I don't think people are trying to put down his performances though, just getting into perspective the strength of the opposition. It's not a full strength Durham he's getting his runs against, just like it's not Australia or South Africa he's scored his 80 against. That takes nothing away from what he's done.

Look, we all think these guys are prospects but that's all they are. Until they face quality opposition that'ss all they'll be. That's when they'll be judged.

I think any prospective captain should at least say in media interviews that playing for the West Indies is more important than playing for Mumbai....

WICRICNEWS Bravo: Mumbai come 2nd, T&T 1st and the West Indies third.

"Mumbai Indians or Trinidad and Tobago?
Of course T&T. It’s my country. Mumbai Indians come second, T&T come first and the West Indies third."

How can Bravo seriously place Mumbai above playing for the West Indies?

Why you hanging our teams dirty washing out in public Mike?!! lets keep this in-house man, i'm sure Dwayne was misquoted!!, well he better hope he was anyway!! , i'm sure Gibson will have a little "talk" with him when he returns to the Caribbean.

Yeah we hear you WW, we have the same problem with our bowlers. People just want to put down the quality of the opposition in an effort to put down our bowlers performance.

Yeah, I hope Bravo retracts what he said....

But if that's the way he thinks, it would go some way towards explaining why he throws his wicket away to reckless shots when he looks well set to going on to building a better score.

I'm sure Gibson will let him know that those sentiments are not what the WI public expect from you.
