Six Nations

Gotta be more to it than just "family reasons". Seems unbelievable that the first coach to lead Wales to a Grand Slam since the 70s would up sticks & go in the middle of the Six Nations like that.

Incredible. I do wonder if it may've been a negotiating tactic that the WRU has called his bluff on.

'Player Power' is the term being bandied around by the press.
Pretty shocking if so. I guess it'll be a while before we get the full story. It'll be interesting to see what sort of performance Wales turn in v The Micks in a couple of weeks. &, of course, to see if Hairgel is back.

it was only the other day i saw him saying in the press how Henson would have to earn his place back in the side - coincidence?

Has to be more to it than mere "family reasons". I'd except his missus may be unhappy about the time he spends away from the Ruddock homestead, but would she really be such a ball-breaker as to demand he walked away in the middle of the Six Nations? Doesn't ring true to me.

I'd read there was a boycott of a press conference by yer taff players last week because a BBC journalist was present who was Hairgel's ghost-writer & who'd slagged off the rest of the squad in the programme for the England game. Apparently Ruddock wasn't very HP about it, so that may've brought things to a head.

Give him a 13 point start.
That would definitely make it interesting. Yer sweaties are actually playing their best Rugby for a few years & we didn't really get into the groove against Italy at all. If I was a betting man I might back Scotland to cover a 13-point spread.

Wales have generous odds at the same spread. (evens)

Just about to adjourn to the pub to watch the plucky Italians upset the Frogs (hope springs eternal...) so thought I'd give my predictions:

France by 20+
England by 10-15
Ireland by 15-20

No blitzing of Italy yet...

They are in the lead at half time! Awesome.

Anyone else just see the major dummy spit by Gareth Thomas on BBC? :baby:

He lost it really, only seen on BBC Wales but they showed it on BBC1 just now.

Trying to defend the Welsh squad with the Ruddock saga and made himself sound like an idiot from the Valleys.
