Couldn't find the Ashes thread, so posting here. But I have a feeling Harmison is going to have a hell of a series. They're at home, in English conditions, and I think the big man is going to make the best of it.

Doubt it, personally. Last home series against the WI who were a one man side at the time he averaged 34. Have a feeling Anderson might do well though.

how many summers have they been saying that now ?

although i could still watch that super slow mo of him knocking poor daniel flynn's teeth out, technology at it's best, they must have showed it 36 times

i'd have to ask though, if you were playing 3 fast bowlers who would you drop for lee ?

i'd have clark, siddle and johnson, if 4 then i might have lee, and only if he's proven fit and in form, if not bollinger/hilfenhaus or whatever spinner/'allrounder' the selectors drag up from another marijuana fueled selection meeting

I'd just play four without question if I had those four available.

could be interesting, not much cricket for clark or lee leading into the ashes, although clark is going to play for kent

Michael Hussey
Michael Clarke
Marcus North
Brad Haddin
Mitchell Johnson
Brett Lee
Stuart Clark
Peter Siddle

is what the selectors will surely go for come the First Ashes Test. Can't see any other line-up.

Nah, Macca will play ahead of one of Lee/Clark. Watto will carry drinks for the first two tests then replace North or Macca.

Anderson came of age last summer IMO.
Yep.

mcdonald hasn't done a lot wrong, but he has been picked as an allrounder and his batsmanship at this stage isn't up to it

plus come the ashes, haddin at 7, johnson at 8, lee at 9 clark at 10 siddle at 11 looks more than acceptable

Never said it was what I would play.

It is what will play at Lords, however.
