Not Terrible
Only 5 quicks who have played more then 2 Tests in the past year average under 30.
Lee, Kallis, Steyn, Gul and Ntini.

Pretty amazing but thinking about the past year of Cricket, it's not that surprising.
O'Brilliant is close.

He might be selected for the third Test.

IIRC there is a tour match before the third Test, if Lee is selected performs well he might gain selection of Johnson, rightly or wrongly.

Absolutely no chance of Johnson being dropped, IMO. It made infinitely more sense to drop him in the West Indies and it didn't happen.

I don't think Hauritz's place should be under threat, he would have a role to play on dry English pitches, and to his credit he has bowled really well so far, so that leaves 5 Aussie quicks competing for 3 spots in the side.

Hilfenahus one thinks has done enough to secure his spot, and therefore that pretty much leaves Johnson, Siddle, Lee and Clark jostling for the last two spots, its upto Australian management now how they look at this scenario, whether they want to maintain faith in their younger quicks, or whether they want to fall back upon the services of their more experienced fast bowlers.
