Worse than Watson? Harvey could do his job just right, but Watson can't get anything right, on present form.
So I suppose you know the intricate details of Harvey's current form then?

If you're going to base a post on "current form" at least do it with both players in question. Watson's performances last year say a lot more than his current lack of form. I can't wait till he finally gets out of this slump because I'll have about 9482828525 posts to quote. I'll keep it all to one post though, I promise.

haha prince you're not the only one..

Bowled OK today though... looks like he's just working his way into form for the WC... needs some batting time to get his confidence up, and he'll be right as rain for the WC ;)

He hasn't played for a while it would seem but just signed for Derbyshire. Interestingly Harvey is now eligible for England:huh:

he batted quite well today, I think the best thing about his innings was the fact he scored a run a ball without taking a risk really...

Just goes to show that his a quailty cricketer if used in the right way. Should bat at 4 for Australia when Gilly comes back, regardless of how well Clarke, Hodge or Hussey have batted there. All three are very good batsmen at 5-7 anyway and will do a very good job there.

One thing no one has noticed about the string of losses is no Mitch Johnson either, looking at Australia attack his variety they need, if Lee not fit. 10 times better bowler ATM then Tait and bowing better then McGarth.

Johnson has bowled some tripe this series.... hoping he gets his form back as he's vital to our WC chances if Lee is injured imo

Mitch Johnson not playing is the reason Aus lost some games? He's far from that vital to the team at this stage.

Today was vintage Shane Watson for me.

- Batted extremely well, was great to watch but couldn't kick on, for whatever reason.
- Bowled like crap early, got spanked, however had the odd patch here and there with good deliveries, keeping the runs down and getting wickets, making you think maybe he's alright with the ball. Then he goes and gets spanked again, including by Gillespie.
- Celebrated like a dickhead when he got a wicket (ironically, he acted as if he had just achieved a miracle) and acted like a jackass.

Why do people get so het up about the wicket celebrations... you guys need to chill, it's just a release of adrenalin. If you don't like it just ignore it.

Watson had the right to celebrate.. not for the wicket itself but to try pump himself up get the team going get on a roll etc..

I think he looks a good enough replacement for Gilchrist at the top of the order when Gilly retires, though his bowling will have to kick on a lot more if he's to take the all rounders spot.
