*sigh*

How is the world a better place for it? For all you know I was on ARPANET in the 1970's.

Sincere advice, stop assuming. Read, observe and listen. If you want to attack, base it on prior statements. Even Burgey (if he is really a lawyer) will tell you this much.

Don't ever clutch.
Ok

Miyagi always knew way more about law than you though. After all his parents are lawyers.
It really isn't about knowing the common law (as much as that is the public perception):

it is more the ability to discover, understand and argue the law. If you don't know or understand and thus reject or don't even identify first principles - you're stuffed from the start (that much is knowledge to a point - but look how reasonable expectations in tort and contract are leading to results that formalists did not predict!).

I don't subscribe to HLA Hart or Dworkian absolutely (both are wrong, and both are right - ask any lawyer in effect), but I know and understand the operation of common law inside and out.

For those interested (all of you), Hot Chloe was voted off Masterchef a couple of nights ago. She perfectly replicated an Asian dessert in every way, but the judges rightly said it tasted like wet cardboard.

Understandable that the judges would be jealous of food that's tastier than their own, which usually gets compared to dry cardboard. Can't be having that.

Don't tell us there's a 90 year old in Bengal that's spent 70 years mastering the intricacies of making wet cardboard.
