It's not up to me to rescue those of you with inferior taste buds and a limited appreciation of culinary delights. Your life is yours to suffer.

I look forward to my trip to Taiwan soon, where no doubt i'll be feasting on all manner of street food - animal skin and organs, various beans and vegetables turned into desserts, bizarre looking asian fruits and some fresh hand made noodles. Yum.

Hopefully the Chinese deal with you on your return as they'd like to deal with Taiwan itself.

Not Terrible
I dunno if anyone will ever buy you having particularly superior taste with how many things you 'like' buddy.

You need to stop traveling around only Asia, *****. Get out and experience broader cultures; try some places where you can drink the local water. You should come to Australia. I believe you can transit through Indonesia where someone will offer you a cruise here for the right fee.

That's actually evidence of my superior appreciation of life itself. I like everything. I enjoy everything. I see beauty everywhere I look. I can read a Gnske post and find it funny, and then read a brockley post and sympathise with his religious beliefs, before turning around and reading a Burgey post and feeling deep, deep sympathy for a lonely old man trying to make the most of his days.

I don't know what to say; it's a gift I suppose.

Finally it's lunch. I've brought some of that desi fish with rice and veggies today. Light, tasty, nutritious. What more can one ask for.

I don't have enough days off in a year to actually travel :( Sad I know.

Australia is on the list tho. As is southern USA. I may get detained due to my skin color or shot up in a mass shooting, but I hear the food down there is worth the risk.

Alas I grew up in Dubai. I know too many Firebreakers personally. I have low tolerance due to over exposure - an 'allergy' if you will.

I am entertained by his life stories tho. I hope he keeps us all updated during his time in the UK. I feel his trials and tribulations will be a guilty pleasure, like a less likable Shri.

Was the kingfish local? Because if it was I'd expect you'll be dead of lead poisoning before you ever get here.

Yea I should probably eat less of the local produce we get here in HK. We get all our food from China or the waters that Japan seems so content letting their waste leak into.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger I suppose.

You should definitely try to get over here. If you're in HK and grew up in Dubai, you've probably never seen actual natural beauty. Everything there is a bit like yourself - artificial and an imitation of the real world. It'd be great for you.

I mean, Dubai's terribly inauthentic, but HK is glorious. Have you ever come down here? If you did, then you clearly just didn't look in the right places. Lot of hidden secrets in this country, it's all about know who to ask and where to look. There's a reason all of us here haven't gone insane* yet with the work and pollution and rent and crowds and chaos
