Yeah, and the similarity extends to their nationality, height, style of bowling etc. Both of them were equally effective in the shorter version of the game, too.

Initially I thought of picking Garner, but then thought Lillee might be more poll-friendly.

Yeah very similar heights and everything. Facing these two monsters bearing down on you from either end, cant be a very comforting sight for a batsman.

May have picked Lillee as well if I was in your position although I might have considered Viv as a possible selection. It was the only safe way of picking Lillee without giving the next guy an advantage I guess.

Moreover, picking a fast bowler in the first round was part of the strategy (not for the reason that I think only bowlers win you matches, but for different reasons keeping the format in mind...I think you can understand...)

Yep I understand. Having said that, picking Ambrose and Garner wasn't really part of a strategy. Just played the hand I was dealt there.

Downloaded a sim and from the looks of the help it seems workable. Will do a bit of trial and error in the weekend and if it does alright will use if to sim a tournament once the teams are picked.
