Right, finally rid of the worst international manager in football now England have a chance of winning something.

waste, these big stupid men, England are an absolute disappointment all those chances & they produced an absolute atrotious penalty shootout geez and they said they practiced. I dunno if England are ever going to win a world cup, they may got to South Africa with a stronger side than this one but, geez what a disappointment..

They hardly produced any chances - the squad was easily good enough to win a World Cup, the manager was not.

I have to say it, what I said all along about England was spot on and proven again and again.

Ricardo was a machine.

Rooney should think next time he steps on someone's balls.
tbf he didn't have time to think, his natural momentum took his foot there, and the ref sent him off for the push on ronaldo

Portugal were poor. So were we. We were ****ing **** at penalties, bar Robinson, and possibly Hargreaves.

Final?

Germany vs. Brazil.

How original.

Wasn't that other clown shouting instructions from the sideline? The next manager? He looked to be in charge to me...

Not a chance.

I don't think either the squad or the coach were good enough to win a World Cup, but England's biggest problem is its mentality. In all the sports they play, England's national side tends to play overly cautious. Whether it's fear of being villified by the press, I don't know, but it's only ever paid off once - and that's because union rewards teams too cowardly to chuck the ball around as long as they have a decent kicker.

Okay then, Rooney should think next time he steps on someone's balls, and if he accidentally does he should act like a ******** (though he was just acting like one would expect anyone that looks like him would) about it.

anyway, for the brief time after Beckham went off and Rooney was red carded, we played our best football of the tournament imo, and even when Rooney went off we were more dangerous going forward. Hargreaves was very good, as was surprising Crouch when he came on.

Interesting how the first corner after Beckham went off was pretty much our first dangerous corner of the tournament and Lampard(barn door) should have scored from it.

Hero'is do mar, nobre povo,
Nac,a~o valente, imortal
Levantai hoje de novo,
O esplendor de Portugal
Entre as brumas da memo'ria,
O' pa'tria sente-se a voz
Dos teus egre'gios avo's
Que ha'-de guiar-te `a vito'ria.

`As armas! `As armas!
Sobre a terra e sobre o mar!
`As armas! `As armas!
Pela Pa'tria lutar!

Contra os canho~es marchar, marchar!

Desfralda a invicta bandeira
`A luz viva do teu ce'u
Brade a Europa `a terra inteira
Portugal na~o pereceu!
Beija o solo teu jucundo
O oceano a rujir d'amor
E o teu brac,o vencedor
Deu mundos novos ao Mundo!

Saudai o sol que desponta
Sobre um ridente porvir;
Seja o eco d'uma afronta
O sinal de ressurgir.
Raios d'essa aurora forte
Sa~o como beijos de ma~e
Que nos guardam, nos suste^m,
Contra as inju'rias da sorte.

Hargreaves was absolutely brilliant, I would go as far as saying it was one of the best individual eprformances I have seen in this tournament. I really don't think we deserved to lose. It's so draining when you realise that you have to wait another four years. Well I'm gonna stick my neck out here and say that I don't think we'll qualify next time out, and our only chance of winning something will be the next Euros.

I am so sad. So so sad.
