Road to India in Australia 2024-25

It's not just Pujara who'll be missed and account for India's loss this time.

AUS have 2 solid back-up AR quicks in Marsh and Green. Their big 3 quicks can stay fresh for longer and recover quicker. Plus MMarsh and Green make AUS batting stronger.
Green's just picked up a back injury and Marsh hasn't bowled much since picking up one in the IPL.

Without player like Pujara doing what he did, Australia start as clear favourites. Should be able to win 3-1/4-1 or at the bare minimum 3-2.

Any other result, it'd mean India would have played to potential and Australia well below potential.
Won't be 4-1 or 3-2 either way. Can already pencil in the annual Sydney wash out

My 6th sense is telling me , this series will be decided by Travis Head and Rishabh Pant . If Travis Head dominates then Australia will win and if Rishabh Pant dominates then India have a chance.
Amazing how far this hack has come. Was a gimme wicket on the previous two tours but suddenly he's a threat now

I will say Jaiswal more than Pant.

Green not being fit to bowl sucks, but ide still pick him as a specialist bat if he's gonna bat 4.

So not only is Green injured but Marsh just bowled for the first time in 15 white ball games. Bowled 4 overs, pulls up sore and misses the last ODI vs Eng today.

Can't see Marsh having any impact with ball this series

Use the opportunity to drop Lyon and play 4 quicks + part-time spinners, and actually prepare hard bouncy pace-friendly wickets for once
