Ok here is the 1st lot of news you have all been waiting for...

OK now the catch...
Every team who had a player retired will from now on recieve a youth player in exchange...

The youths are again totally random and the only difference between these youths and the youths you recieve at the beginning at the season is that you can trade these youths in the trade period...

Now the down side, these rookies are unable to play any games this season...
So to all who lost players i hope the rookies do your men justice or at least u can trade for someone who is capable of making your side improve...

Anyway here they are...

2 of my best players retired and i got 2 of the worst rookies for them. How can a 32 year old retire. Not in real life also a 32 year old retires!!!!

I think its not fair to retire a 32 year old and in return give a totaly bad player. If he has to retire then at least a player half good as him should be given.

Aditya, i can understand your dissapointment but it was totally random...
Unfortunatley there are going to be good and bad luck for all.. And in the past there have been players who have retired at young ages... It does not just mean that they retired cause of old age or whatever, it could be injury forced, could be other reasons... There was an age set for where retirement would begin and that was set at 30, and there were a few who retired around 32-33.....

If the finance system is introduced which i think should be then i think the managers should have a option to keep the rookies who have been alloted for the retired players or the salary of the players retired which will be calculated as for all other players.

It will be fair for all the managers whose good players have retired and they have got bad rookies.

By the money that get they can atleast get decent players.I think my case is worst. Two top players for 2 worst rookies of all.

Harris gone. Horne gone. I thought that I would be improving next season. :(

Some relatively decent players coming in though....

When the Retirement program was introduced, we did have a discussion regarding the likelihood of people retiring, and it was agreed that over 30's were all vulnerable - At the end of the day, as GB said, it was pot luck, and whereas you were unlucky, some people were lucky!

Kent Retirments

Paul Nixon annouced that he would be giving up cricket at the end of the current season to continue with other aspects of life.

Manager Rich2001 said of the news "Iam gutted, Paul is a fantastic cricketer and he returned knowing that A Flower would be first choice keeper, however injuries how allowed him to get a batting spot and hasn't looked back... he's in fantastic form and was quickly changing from being a scrapheap player to a certain retained player, unfortuantly his is bad news for us.. but we respect the players decision and wish him all the best for whatever he does.

On a lighter note, a good looking rookie is coming through the ranks however it seems he is a bowler so wont help the wicket-keeping situation much :("

Iam sorry but I have to disagree with you completly!

You have to remember like Blewy says younger players retire all the time, at Kent in real life we had a bowler who retired at like 24 last season, and your complaining over 33 you should feel lucky!

Second why should a replacing rookie be as good if not better, not everyone in real life coming into a side is a instant and long term success, I could name loads of failures

I have been thinking and to be honest you should be happy with what you got, nobody even knew Blewy would give replacments... he didn't have to do it and you could have lost a player for nothing.

Just think when you use that player in a part trade deal, you might never have got the player had it not been for Blewy.

FAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!

Why Derick, why!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I all can say right now is that I'm mad :!(, Although newbie G.Fodgen might be ok as a replacement, he has big shoes to fill and dammit I could my 35 and 36 year old players not be calling it quits but the 33 year old is....dammit. Oh well thats life. Nothing I can do about.

More on this later...

Warwickshire Retirements

An emotional Derick Anderson announced to his fans at Warwickshire CC that he would be retiring at the end of the season as he looks to slow and relax.

Manager Kurt Christensen was very sad. "He was destined to play a big roll next season, however things have changed. Derick as other things on his mind that have taken priority now...Hes in fantastic form, opening the batting for us so I hope he gives it heaps for the rest of the season."

Anderson has scored the only one day century in Christensen's time at Warwickshire with 116* against Warwickshire. He's averaging 62 in the one day game, while fighting along at 46 in four dayers.

"I hope I'll be able to show the side to the division three four day title at the end of the year.

Damn this is major dissappointment..

im looking to improve my squad and i lose 2 good players for 2 utterly crap players...

If karnataka wants to whine , there is absolutely no reason to whine and the cries come un heard... but when hampshire moans you can hear it all the way till new zealand... We got 2 utterly crap rookies !!

I think g.b instead of getting replacements , we should be given the option of having extra picks in the drafts...! like instead of 6 8

Just a strong suggestion , i think im better of without replacements and without retirements :D but what has to happen has and i cant do nothing but please take my suggestion in

I think you derived the idea from another suggestion I made which involved retirements.
