And thats why I said its one of many criteria. And if someone scores 0, 200, 0, their average is still 66.6. A better comparison would be:

200, 0, 0 , 0, 0, 0
vs.
35, 35, 35, 35, 35, 35

well Lara or any other batsmen is niether that consistent or inconsistent

Compared to other batsmen, Lara is more inconsistent. That is a fact.
Compared to other batsmen, he scores a lot more big knocks. That is also a fact.

Which one you rate as being more important is up to you. Lara is better than most batsman when it comes to dominating, that is up for argument but most people would agree with that. Tendulkar doesn't score as many double hundreds, that is a fact. But he has the 3rd highest number of 150+ scores (Behind, Lara, Bradman)..that is also a fact.

I don't really understand your point. You rate Lara higher, I get it. Thats fine, its a reasonable view to have. I am not disputing your choice. Its a view that many people share, including some of the all time greats. Others, think Tendulkar was better (including me) because their criteria differs from yours. I don't really get what you're trying to get at here.

Come on, humor his last statement. It'll be worth it. ;)
Ehh, we've had this discussion before. And frankly, its not a ludicrous opinion or anything. A lot of people think Lara is better. Its a subjective decision who you like, and if you prefer Lara..well thats fine by me.

Now, he did say that Yousuf was better than Tendulkar, which is a separate issue.

i said Yousef is better in current form, over the last 15 tests he is averaging 80, ofcourse career wise Tendulaker is still better.

International Coach
Excluding my vote, Hammond and Gavaskar are tied with 6 votes apiece. If we get two more hours of no votes, I'll make my vote and declare a winner.
