Interesting thought I had while looking at cricinfo today. That the Lahore Badshahs ICL team could probably defeat the Pakistan national side in a head to head contest at the moment.
I think there is a chance in 20-20 where things can change by the over. But in the long and longer versions of the game, the current Pakistani side have the advantage due to sheer age factor. And bowling resources of Lahore Badshahs are not the best even in ICL.

True, fitness issues would be important considering most of the ICL team is old and probably don't train as rigorously as the national side.

But as a comparison of sheer talent, the Badshahs is almost a copy of the old Pakistan side which was so good. Granted, missing some obvious names like Wasim, Waqar...

As I said, their batting looks in splendid form. With youngsters like Imran Nazir and Farhat opening, and Mohd. Yusuf, Inzy, strengthening the middle order. But the team is aged inevitably. And Saqi and Rana are strong on paper than on the ground. Any team having Mohd. Sami as No.1 pace option is doomed.

AWTA. Perhaps the ICL side can hold their own in 20/20, but not in ODI's. That bowling lineup would be awful. Yousaf was never a spectacular One Day presence and Inzi has gained even more weight along with his age.

We know how much Shoaib Malik has improved as a cricketer but it dosen't compare to his improvment in his love life.

Do batsmen take their gear off during lunch/tea breaks?

Why is the a differentiation between leg byes and byes?

Can Cameron White do a Steve Waugh and forge his way into the team as a batsman?
