Potential Shocks - Who will cause the Biggest Upset?

I can't really see SL losing to Bangladesh, I think SL are too professional for that. An Aftab Ahmed inspired victory against India is certainly a possibility however.

Where was sri lankan professionalism when they lost to kenya in the last world cup.

It will be harder for the minnows in this tournament because of the smaller number of group games the big teams will need to be careful. For example the big shocks in the last four WCs were Zimbabwe over England,Kenya over WI and SL and Bangladesh over Pakistan. BUT, in two of those cases the victims were already through to next round and WI in '96 and SL in 2003 had other matches to reverse the damage. lets say for instance Holland beat SA. That puts SA in BIG trouble - who wants to have to beat Australia to stay in the tournament - so the Saffies will have no complacency which is the cause of a lot of shocks. Bangladesh might beat one of SL or India - they've beat both since last WC albeit at home - and Ireland could beat the Zims but would that be a shock? IMO as big a shock as Canada beating Bangladesh last time...

Point being?

Bears little relevance to the fact that Australia is the most professional team in the world on the field.
It took a freakish once in a lifetime innings for Bangladesh to beat Australia, not to mention they weren't exactly in good form at the time and you can't tell me they play the same intensity against Bangladesh in a triangular tournament group stage as they do in a World Cup. They're no more professional than any most other teams on the pitch, they're just better.

As for Kenya, Bangladesh aren't as good as Kenya were then.

Can also see Kenya running NZ close on current form.
What, thrashing England twice and losing incredibly closely to them twice?

Added to running Australia about as close as can be 3 times in a row?

I'd say NZ's current form is hardly poor.

It would be a shock for me if no asian team makes it to the semi-final stage of the world cup. Though it happened recently in champions trophy in India.

The z's neccessary, a single-smiley post doesn't work if the only letter in that smiley is a capital, because any CAPS-only post is automatically lower-cased.
You could have found the link to the actual smiley image and included it with IMG tags rather than the smiley shortcut code if you really wanted to.
