AWTA. Shut him up. Though its nice to hear his trash talk after a win, rather than a loss.
Couldn't agree more..these are pure gems in terms of the comic relief they provide:laugh:
I wouldn't bother shutting him up..if only to annoy Ricky further. He probably won't be coming back for Tests to India anyways.

Notice the ID of the starter of the thread? That's an even bigger joke...though you have to be (more or less) Indian to pick that...

I think he might have one more trip to India left.

I don't know..he could be going be going strong 4 years down the line. It'll depend on Australia's overall performances..as i think he is never going to get sacked for poor batting form or anything. If Australia lose a couple major series i can see him being shown the door as the Aussies tend to not retain ex-captains in their team.

Is it just me, or does anyone not really give a flying **** about what people say in the media? I mean, getting worked up over what someone says is pretty pointless for mine.

How so? I personally think Harbhajan was disrespectful with the bunny comments rather than with these latest set of comments which pretty much echo the views of a lot of writers on many websites since the Nagpur test.

I'm sure his purpose is to get a reaction similar reaction from Ricky..I tell you,i can see why gets under the skin so easily..not only does he sledge but he is so graceless.I would be pissed off as well if i were Ponting.

Nah, Harbhajan calling Ponting his bunny is cheeky, if not arrogant. But saying Ponting is an average player, which he's recently been quoted as, is the definition of disrespectful.

Imagine Cameron White saying that about Sachin because he'd got him out a few times  (obviously different to Ponting going out 10 times to Harbhajan, but you get my point)

Ah, re-read it now, didn't notice the part where he called him an average player. He's right though, Ponting is an average player in India, but I agree making that a public declaration is pretty disrespectful. Ponting and co didn't help matters by getting their books released while the tour was on, though. Harbhajan would have found it pretty disrespectful reading up on the contents of their books after the hearing found him innocent of wrong doing too. It works both ways.

That said, can it be taken for sure that Harbhajan did indeed say these things and they are not somehow being taken out of context?

I'm asking because I don't know.

Like when Ganguly announced his retirement, a few newspapers carried quotes by him that were a bit insensitive - stuff about players' hairstyles being changed more often than the number of runs they scored for India... comments which Ganguly thereafter denied saying.

But it didn't find him innocent of wrong doing, did it?

I don't think it's been discussed enough, let's get back into it:ph34r:

The unlucky baby with the imperforate anus begs to disagree :(

Hussey's technique looks impenetrable at times, regardless who is bowling and what they are bowling. If I could model my game around a batsman it would be Hussey. He can shut bowlers out, or find gaps and run between the wickets or if need be smash the bowlers in all corners of the ground.
Gets bowled a lot. Though usually after scoring a lot.

Wish the press would stop going to Harbhajan for comment, like he's the team India spokesman. Claiming Ponting as your bunny is one thing but claiming he's an average player, after saying the opposite previously, lacks class.

Yes, I agree. That's just disrespectful and completely unnecessary. As other said, calling him your bunny is one thing, and can be funny, but to knock his many accomplishments is not cool. Not only is it factually wrong, it is simply disrespectful of his achievements and quite obviously lacks class [though that part is unsurprising from him].
