Fair enough tiger - each to his own. My personal choice if I needed one of them to destroy an attack would always be Bradman.silentstriker said:Yes, he did. He was destructive - but so is everyone else in that line up.

Actually, completely wrong. I'd be interested to know why? Personally, having BCL and not Tendy would be like the biggest WTF moment ever. I'm going to pick both of course.aussie tragic said:...but true
Sure, why not? GM-OLAS notwithstanding, there is no reason why, if he was truly better, that I wouldn't rate him higher. DL-OLAS coming up? Doubtful, but you never know.PhoenixFire said:Would you ever rate him higher than McGrath, in any circumstances?

After McGrath it would likely be MM-OLAS thoughPhoenixFire said:

Bradman scored 300 in a day for christs sake, what more do you want????
Fair enough mate - I knew Braddles' S/R wouldn't be the highest, I reckon I'd just still always go for him to cause all round fast-scoring destruction if I had the choice of anyone.silentstriker said:Yea, I mean no one is arguing that Bradman wasn't the best, but that doesn't mean he would come out ahead in every possible criteria imaginable (though he does in most anyway).
Oh he was a great #3, and for #3 alone he is ahead of Ponting. But I voted for Ponting at #3 as I wanted Richards to get the #5 spot, which IMO he would be ideal in considering the top order that this side would have. Richards was a better player than Ponting is, IMO, and therefore he could take the change in role a little better than Ponting probably can.aussie tragic said:Well I'm sure you'll be in the final of "Champion Selectors" as you already have 3 of the 4 votes.....btw, if you'd have listened to me in the 1966-85 thread, you would have realised that Richards was best known as a # 3 (and the best in the World at the time), and therefor you would have had a 100 % record as well![]()
