Players who would have had better careers for different countries

Kuldeep isn't really gonna get better bowling conditions than those in India.

If he were a regular for the Indian team, his records/performances would almost certainly be better for India than if he were a regular in another team, playing against the same opposition.
Would thrive in Pakistan given current pitches.

Ali TT

International Vice-Captain
Carl Hooper had a middling career for WI but was superb for Kent. But then England in the 80s and 90s were a nightmare.
He played over 300 internationals for the West Indies, so wasn't really overlooked. His test average of 36 would fit in quite well of England in that era, alongside the likes of Atherton, Gatting, Butcher, Hussain etc but he'd have been dropped plenty of times and likely had his attitude continuously questioned (especially by Ray Illingworth).

I would go for David Hussey, had a career average over 52 in first class cricket yet never played a test match for Australia. Would have played tests if English, especially with his record at Notts.

Could probably say the same of quite a few Aussie bats of the late 90’s and early 00’s.

Another candidate is MacGill obviously. Makes it to any side easily (likely alongside Kumble or Murali for those two) and takes hundreds more wickets.

Chubb

International Regular
Hick for Zimbabwe is an obvious example.

Even if he just replicated his England career, he'd be known as one of Zim's best ever players. I think he might have gone better due to the relative lack of pressure to succeed and playing when he was a bit younger.

Stuart Law would have played 100 + tests for England and averaged at least 40, possibly even higher (allowing for more difficult batting conditions in England).
