But I do also wonder if its the cushion for Steyn a little bit and Philander getting up to full fitness.

He still looks kind of awkward at the crease imo but yeah there is no way his Test record should be that bad, it has to be a mental thing

In hindsight I guess sitting steyn out for maharaj should have been the way to go seeing the pitch. It makes the batting stronger and you can't really leave Olivier out considering the series he had.

There is still that doubt with him. Mental 90% but that was such an average shot that it seemed innocuous and you ask yourself why did it happen from nowhere. Nerves for the 50... bloody hell.

Pretty average from de Bruyn. Just had to hold tight with Abbas and Amir and there would have been plenty of runs to be had in the last 90 minutes.
