Yes he’s **** in England
Well he scored 400 plus at an average of 46 in 2015 with 5 fifties. 2019 is obviously a disaster but he is still twice as good as any of the useless spuds played for England post Strauss

Even with that series he has a lower average in England than Rory Burns, would have floundered in Division 2 or maybe been a Blast specialist. Sad to see a great cricketing nation championing such inadequacy.

Warner would have definitely played more than three tests for England, but he would have had an average in the 30s like Bairstow or Buttler.

Definitely a major FTB but being a monster at home has to count for something. Easily one of the worst to average 45+ but he’s handy. That SA tour (2014) was the series of his life regardless but the conditions were near-identical to typical Australian conditions (hard flat pitches with KK) so it almost feels wrong putting that on his overseas CV in the way cricket fans use the term. It’s also why FTB is more correct than home bully, he will score runs on very flat pitches wherever they are. Australia is the best country for his batting though. Hobart is more alien to him than the pitches on that SA tour were. His best series in alien conditions was the Bangladesh tour.
Never compromises on his attacking methods because he doesn’t have the defensive game to survive when the ball is hopping around or turning. Definitely not as good a Test bat as Hayden, Langer, Slater and Taylor.

Basically the Anderson of batting. Immense in home conditions but usually completely unreliable in terms of performing away from home. The main difference is Australians aren’t desperate and stupid enough to consider Warner an ATG with an away average approximating 34.

I think one difference between Warner and both Anderson and Broad is the former is selected for every test, while the latter two pick and choose when they play. #Frauds
