Nah, these two are different class to the rest of the field. Why do I get the feeling they're going to pay too much attention to each other and let someone else win?
You can see it on the websiteWhy don't we get times to the thousandth of a second?
YepI think everyone there would have won in 1992, Christie from memory might have run 9.92.
I think a large part of a lot of these track events at the Olympics is just that every country gets a shot tbf. Even if it's just to make up the numbers (of which there are many)Good on this guy but have watched a few track events in these games where Australians have set PBs and not even come close to advancing from their heats
Can’t really ask for more than a PB so maybe qualifying standards are too low or just luck of the draw?
Depends on the selection criteria, there's a few athletes who qualified for the Olympics but who haven't been picked by team GB because they haven't met Team GB's own internal standards.I think a large part of a lot of these track events at the Olympics is just that every country gets a shot tbf. Right but that's up to the NOCs. The qualification criteria for these short-to-medium distance races is pretty broad iirc, especially the 100m and 800m.Depends on the selection criteria, there's a few athletes who qualified for the Olympics but who haven't been picked by team GB because they haven't met Team GB's own internal standards.
