I agree with EWS on this one. Zim need that fifth bowler with an economy rate of aroun4/5 and they will be in with a shot of winning more options. Zim miss a lot of players who have left, but someone like Ervine would be such a great addition to their X1. Good to see Williams scoring runs at this level.

what the hell man.. shoaib malik is geting worse with his captaincy., why didn't he use tanvir sohil, kamran husain, and sohail khan more often? he used spinners in a pitch that is supposed to be good for fast bowlers.. the ball is going to keep low so that target is pretty good.. zIm will win this match..

On the Pakpassion forum majority Pakistani fans are quite impressed by Sohail the general consensus is that even though he's got some areas where he can improve especially his run-up and follow through but overall he looked quite good with sharp pace and good control with many posters comparing his bowling style to Simon Jones.

So from all it seems that we have finally got a bowler with decent potential.

Sohail Khan definitely looks better than these guys like Rao, Tanvir, Arafat, Samiullah, and least he is aggressive and bowls at good pace. Looking forward to 5th ODI.

I'd say he's bloody dire, look at this. His first two seasons combined were good, average of 25 and economy of 4.79. But how on earth can you select a bowler who has been averaging almost 63 and going at 6.2 an over? Farcical. Basically sums up Pakistan cricket.

Otherwise, we'd be stuck with rubbish like Sami, Nazir, Hafeez ......

I'm going to put it out there and say that Mohammad Sami is a much better bowler than Abdur Rauf. There is absolutely no logical reasoning that would lead to Rauf's selection, it's absolutely shocking. I'm all for Pakistan blooding new players, I have encouraged them, but only when the players they pick have earnt their selection. There are probably about 30 bowlers who deserve selection more than Rauf.

You put too much emphasis on stats. Abdur Rauf is a good bowler who has been selected 4-5 years too late, a couple of years ago he was quite quick but Mr. Action changer (Aaquib Javaid) got him him too change his action and after that his pace has gone down alot.

Raud is very tall ala Shabbir Ahmed so gets good bounce and has ability to move the ball both ways but his low pace means he only does well on certain type of tracks, since in List A games we usually get flat batting tracks which is the reason that his first class record is soo much better then his List A record.

So far in this series Sohail Kham and Wahab Riaz have impressed the most with the ball with Kamran Hussain and Rauf also looking decent. Definatley surprised with Wahab Riaz since there has been virtually no hype for him and in my oponion he has just shaded Sohail Khan. Psst...cant believe we persisted so long with Sami despite having such decent back ups.

well Zimbabwe has played some good cricket in Pakistan but unfortunately cudnt win I guess itz good that they didnt win...we cant afford a defeat against Zimbabwe at all...anyways thanks to them that they came n wish them Good luck especially against India lol

If you are trying to tell me that Abdur Rauf is a good limited overs bowler, then I have no choice but to think you're crazy He might have the potential, but there is no way on earth he should be close to the national side, yet alone his domestic side.
