Salute to Head Travis with Strike rate of 81 plus (minimum 500 runs) beat R. Pant (80 odd)
I don't understand the stat, but surely Harry Brook has a much higher s/r than both of them.Salute to Head Travis with Strike rate of 81 plus (minimum 500 runs) beat R. Pant (80 odd)
R P Singh once opened the bowling in England. Is this the worst attack India has fielded in England? Past sides had atleast one great swing or seam bowler
This side has none
That's what they were doing for years with the Test "championship mace" or whatever the **** it wasOr just drop the final and give the title to the team that got the most points.
No ICC used to do that in other tournaments especially for Minor country with Limited Status but not in World Test Championship.Really? Never even heard about that.
They effectively tried that in the CC. Away team had the choice to bowl first or it went to a toss if they wanted to bat. And yes, it produced roads.I still think having the away team choose to bat or bowl instead of a coin toss is such an easy improvement for test cricket.
Minimum 500 runs in WTC 2020-2023I don't understand the stat, but surely Harry Brook has a much higher s/r than both of them.
Much higher (99 for Brook)I don't understand the stat, but surely Harry Brook has a much higher s/r than both of them.
No, they did it every few years for whoever was on top of the Test rankings. There was a trophy called the mace and they held a presentation ceremonyNo ICC used to do that in other tournaments especially for Minor country with Limited Status but not in World Test Championship.
Brook has a s/r of 99 with 800+ runsMinimum 500 runs in WTC 2020-2023
Strike rate
81.91 - Travis Head
80.81 - Rishabh Pant
68.90 - Jonny Bairstow
66.04 - Ollie Pope
But there is a points system now with a ladder updated for each series completed. It would mean more than just a ranking system. No, they did it every few years for whoever was on top of the Test rankings. There was a trophy called the mace and they held a presentation ceremony

Weirdly, if you select the stats on Crapinfo for the WTC, it gives Brook 480 runs from 4 matches. Were some of his Tests not included in this qualifying period?Brook has a s/r of 99 with 800+ runs
The 2 tests in NZ (1-1) weren't part of the WTC.Weirdly, if you select the stats on Crapinfo for the WTC, it gives Brook 480 runs from 4 matches. Were some of his Tests not included in this qualifying period?
Yeah, just worked that out too. So it means he doesn't qualify on the 500+ runs stat. The 2 tests in NZ (1-1) weren't part of the WTC.
Thought they were as England had to win 2-0The 2 tests in NZ (1-1) weren't part of the WTC.
