Obviously happy for Australia to be getting closer to winning this, but unsatisfying to see this generation of batting talent bottle it in perhaps their last chance for test match glory.

This generation of batting talent hasnt been the same since 2018 or so. Theyve been carried by the bowlers.

But fitting, no? The quicks, Ashwin and Jadeja have carried this team for years now. With ball and bat.
Yeah, this India side looks seriously weak for a side that made the WTC. Guess it doesn't help that they're missing 3 of their best/most important 4 players, and the fourth typically isn't that effective away from home.

That's ultimately what makes Day 1 such a stark aberration and the real disappointment coming out of this game. Those quicks are absolutely capable of better than what they served up on that first day. But these batsmen haven't shown they're capable of any more than this in years.

It's exactly the same team that it's been since 2019 and the pandemic. The only difference is that the bowlers weren't quite able to bail them out with the bat this time, not least because they dropped the best batsmen amongst them to pick Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav.

Nah man, I had an almigthy meltdown when India ****ed up two winning positions in SA. It just meant more and hurt more. This is just a flaccid occasion. Ross' moment of glory made us all pretend that 2021 wasn't a forgettable occasion but it just was.

Whatever it takes!!!
Because it's really weird that you went "oh Australian fans here would be singing a different tune if it went against Australia" when this place is generally "that's just out" across the board. It's just inventing a guy to get mad at.
Its weirder that you are doing exactly what you are falsely accusing me of having done.

Please show where I said "here" in my original post. It was a general response to how it was perceived very obviously on the ground and on social media.
