Is Wagner bowling to Jadeja in a World championship final the pinnacle of our sport?
Probably.
Probably.
Just bowl India out in the next four overs - problem solved.I''m still wondering if it's the best decision to take it ... might take 20 overs before it starts moving around, especially in these lush conditions, that top layer of the ball won't come off quickly.
He actually looked ok in those twenty odd balls. Didn't chase anything, was solid enough in defense. He's not exactly Tendulkar, but is only approximately as loose/rash as you'd expect an instinctive bat to be.The commentators try their best to glorify/justify Pant's non existent technique gavaskar saying he's opened his stance, Sanga saying he's side on deliberately for long. That's just the way he stands and plays.
He's definitely an impact player and on his day can win games like Dhoni but technique no way. He actually refreshing to watch though.
Most Indian batters are very easy on the eyes. Pant is an outlier so was dhoni. He actually looked ok in those twenty odd balls. Didn't chase anything, was solid enough in defense. He's not exactly Tendulkar, but is only approximately as loose/rash as you'd expect an instinctive bat to be.
Finally some sun ffs.
Looks like Hitler's wet dream tbf.Why didnt NZ let jamieson live his life happily in his swamp instead of playing cricket ffs
Not always bad to be in a tight hole TBFIndia paralysed by some tight bowling. Batted themselves into a real hole
Rishab Pant I wouldn't pay a dollar to go watch him in a test game but would pay a million to keep him in the team if I owned one
Technique is over rated. He keeps scoring runs and thats the only thing that matters. I've seen enough of the bloke to know that he's a generational talent. Will score a bucketload of runs in the coming years. The commentators try their best to glorify/justify Pant's non existent technique gavaskar saying he's opened his stance, Sanga saying he's side on deliberately for long. That's just the way he stands and plays.

what? not at all, bloke's a generational talentDon't you hate pant?
yeah this is very jarring to watch after seeing how they played their cricket last summerIndia paralysed by some tight bowling. Batted themselves into a real hole
Yeah, the idea is that when you are tracking something that actually happened there is no real margin of error but with predicted path etc there is always a margin of error associated even with AI.i thought there was no margin for error/umpire's call on where it pitches, so even 1mm is enough
170-5 isnt a disastrous position considering how tough its been. NZ didnt bowl this well yesterday but it was still seriously tough going.yeah this is very jarring to watch after seeing how they played their cricket last summer
Hope so he's kind of watching a comedy flick, pure entertainment. Not great on the eyes but exciting and thrilling. He's got good test record already.Technique is over rated. He keeps scoring runs and thats the only thing that matters. I've seen enough of the bloke to know that he's a generational talent. Will score a bucketload of runs in the coming years.
It was pretty attritional even then. The days of India scoring 400+ at a fair clip are long past.yeah this is very jarring to watch after seeing how they played their cricket last summer
I dont mind the idea, but he has to learn to slice the drives in swinging conditions with the swing. There are 3 slips but usually only one gully. Some justice there ... shocking shot in these conditions though.
