If I were a West Indies fan I would be worried , that was not a convincing performance but a win is a win .
Some of the dismissals were uncalled for. Powell's was ugly. Johnson Charles's also.

But the bowling lacked the penetration and ruthlesses of a team that's higher than USA.
Yes, a win is a win.

Guyana born and bred, Gajanand Singh...records his maiden ODI ton.

The last Guyanese to have achieved this feat was Shimron Hetmyer...who hails from the same club as Gajanand Singh...

I am worried but not because of this game tbh. We batted slightly stupidly, but never looked like losing once we got to 280 plus. We rested Paul and Holder at the end, bowling Chase at the death instead. I think we took the foot off the gas once it was clear the USA weren't actually going for the total but more for Gajanand's century.

I'm more worried because our bowling is toothless. If we lose the toss again and have to bat first when it swings so much and doesn't come onto the bat, we could end up with a mediocre score that our bowling can't defend.

Btw I feel old because I remember following Gajanand's under 19 exploits for Guyana and hoping he could join Sarwan and Shiv in the test side in the future 😂.

The Ireland bowlers bar Little are the absolute shits personified, genuinely don't think the rest of them should be paid in real money. M.U.G.S.
