Official Women’s Premier League 2023

I want to celebrate Harris's innings but Warriorz ffs. Reminds me of those horribly cringe-worthy 90s commercials trying to ride the hip hop wave.

Also this tournament so far is demonstrating that it's time to normalise, or at least somewhat normalise, boundary sizes between men and women. These boundary areas are simply too small for the amount of power hitting in the women's game now.
Yeah I've whinged about this. Women don't need tinpot boundaries anymore.

Was just looking through the IPL sides and MI look incredibly strong. They have Matthews, NSB, Kaur, Kerr, Wong, and Vastrakar along with a few others who can contribute. Gujarat looks comparatively weak and heavily dependent on Ash Gardner, who in fairness is awesome (please don't ban me).

Looks like Gujarat will win today though (against RCB, the other winless team), mainly thanks to Dunkley's opening assault which put them ahead of the game.

Anybody know why Delhi can field 5 foreign players? Is it because Norris is American? Today they have Lanning, Kapp, Capsey and Jonassen also in their side.

It's also interesting that Mumbai are soon to become the only unbeaten team, they are also the only team without an Australian in their side.

While everyone else went after the best Aussie players, they've gone after the best players in all the other teams. NSB, Kaur, Matthews, and Kerr all fall into that bracket.

Izzy Wong is proving to be an inspired selection too. Makes me wonder why England didn't play her in the World T20.

England's selection is a little odd since they seem to show a lot of loyalty toward their more experienced players. While that's paid off at times, I'm not sure it's always the best approach.
