As I always say limited overs comps thrive on close finishes, so not a great start IMHO.

Yet stars need to come to the fore too, and Kaur is undoubtably one of them that performed. Hopefully Issy Wong can carry on too, drips with star quality.

If we can afford, time-wise, to be DRS-ing no balls and wides then we can absolutely afford to get rid of the 3 review limit in Test matches.

Shut this league. One major reason I like watching women's cricket is because it reminds me of 90s cricket with those moderate to good scores.

Two days into this league and we've seen two teams touch 200.

I want to celebrate Harris's innings but Warriorz ffs. Reminds me of those horribly cringe-worthy 90s commercials trying to ride the hip hop wave.

Also this tournament so far is demonstrating that it's time to normalise, or at least somewhat normalise, boundary sizes between men and women. These boundary areas are simply too small for the amount of power hitting in the women's game now.

Also wtf are GG doing batting Ash Gardner at 6? If anything she should be opening with how incredibly stacked these playing conditions are towards power hitting at the top of the innings.

It is Gardner's own doing. She was the captain. With Mooney being injured, looked like they didn't want to lose their only other big player early, which is a very negative line of thinking.

It'll be interesting to see how things develop, but at the moment, two teams (Delhi and Mumbai) seem miles ahead of the other 3.

I just caught up on the five-wicket haul that Tara Norris took the other day, and it seems like Cricinfo had some... spirited commentary of those wickets.

10.3 to EA Perry, U-S-A! U-S-A! drag on! A length ball angled across fourth stump, Perry charges and gets a bottom edge that goes onto middle stump. A stream of Stars and Stripes explodes out of the stumps on contact. The best of Americana is on display at the Brabourne!. 89/3
10.5 to DD Kasat, ohhhhh say can you seeeeeee... a game-shifting medium pace spell!
Length ball on the stumps pulls this loosely by the dawn's early light... whoops, I mean pulls this loosely toward deep backward square leg. Simple catch taken at waist height.. 90/4
12.2 to RM Ghosh, ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED BY THE GREATEST AMERICAN-BORN PACE BOWLER SINCE JOHN BART KING?!?!
Full outside leg stump, charges this and drives straight down the throat of long-on! Simple catch taken eight yards in from the rope at neck height.. 93/5
12.3 to KS Ahuja, WHAT HAS TARA NORRIS HAD FOR BREAKFAST?! SHE'S CARRIED A BOX OF WHEATIES IN HER SUITCASE TO MUMBAI! BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS!
Fullish length on sixth stump, checks a drive and spoons a catch that floats low to short third on the ring. Lunging catch taken and Norris is on a hat-trick!. 93/6
17.5 to HC Knight, GIVE TARA NORRIS ALL THE FINEST WINES, MEATS AND CHEESES IN ALL THE LAND! THE FIRST EVER FIVE-WICKET HAUL IN THE WPL GOES TO AN AMERICAN!
Length ball outside off, slapped tamely to extra cover and a simple catch taken at waist height on the ring. Team America is policing the day in Brabourne.. 150/8
