Why do I feel like Darren Sammy’s entrance into the test coaching is gonna **** sh!t up in the right direction for us?

i think best case scenario, he could get hope, king, holder, rutherford and chase on board.

pooran, lewis and hettie are lost. although i think hettie would do no better than the guys currently playing in pakistan. he's a lost cause.

Lol I remember how infuriating it was when Chase and Hope spent 2 years averaging under 20 and Dessie kept picking them. Even Holder has been mediocre since starting on the T20 merry-go-round.

All this time later, I'd welcome them both back with open arms. F***k it, Shai can even come back in as captain . We are truly in the midst of red ball batting despair.

This generation is lost. We might just have to beg Hope and Chase to play tests again, select King and accept they are the best of a terrible generation and hope a lot of the work that has gone into youth cricket over the last 5 years finally results in something in 3 - 5 years.

At least he'll set a clear ethos and playing style that certainly wont be grindball, even if it's not our version of Bazball.

It is worth trying something, literally noone in that top 6 can complain if they're dropped.

Out of all the Test batsman to score 5000 runs or more......Brathwaite (5874) has the third lowest average (33.18). Mark Boucher has the worst average (30.30) but he was a wicket-keeper and a batting average in the 30s for a keeper is seen as pretty good. The second lowest is Kapil Dev (31.05), but he was also a bowler.
