Haha Pant is pants against the short ball.

All he needs to do is learn how to keep now. Can India fit him in as a specialist batsman when Saha returns?

West Indies get smashed in the first test of a series and everyone bitches and moans about how sad it is that West indies are terrible now and how good the days of Holding and Garner were and how test cricket is dying and two tiers are the way forward. Then in the second test they come back and look a decent, competitive side again and every one of those morons shuts up. This routine has become pretty tiresome.

Can't remember the last time Ashwin made any runs. This is a pretty good fightback from WI, if they keep the lead down to 50 or so, it would be a very acceptable result for them given India's recent 4th innings chase history.

Yeah they have a good history of seriously sucking in the first test then coming back

Non-Indian pace bowlers with 50s and 5-wickets in same game in India : Bruce Taylor, John Lever (!!), Ian Botham, Malcolm Marshall, now Holder. Decent company...

Gabriel might be fuming with some of the fielding.

India have been very lucky to have found Shaw and Pant.

Shimron Hetmeyer to burst into the scene with a magnificent hundred emulating Lara's maiden double ton against Australia and claim his place as the rightful successor to The Prince.

Or not.

well looking on the bright side of the West Indies batting, everyone in their top 5 is due a score.

Hetmyer and Ambris could take the game away from India if they get into full flow but they need to trust their defences unlike in their previous 3 innings.
