Largely agree with this, it's an orthodox field against two pretty unorthodox players.

That said, Gabriel got both these guys out by targeting the stumps in the first innings.
true, though i think he lacks the top end pace and movement of day 1 today

This is looking good for England.

Burns looks like he’s improved since last summer. I wondered at the time if he needed that run of good luck after debut to buy time to adapt.

Yeah being able to score off so many balls in Chase's first over is a good sign of being 'in'.

We're still a long way behind so so long as the Windies are disciplined they're still on top. But I can see England starting to take it away from them if a catch goes down or the like.

Holder on now. This'll count for a lot

the way these two set up, holder should be a lot harder for them to get into position to drive compared to the more forgiving nature of roach's skiddy medium fast bowling.

they're liable to end up in no mans land and spoon one in the air if they try to drive holder.

With the Windies lineup being mostly right handers, what was the Bess over Leach logic? That he's the better bat?

if holder can maintain this to end with 250-300 wickets @ 25 or better (that average is plummetting atm) i'll put him in my windies all time side. an atvg paceman who also averages 30 with the bat? yes please, makes the windies even more h4x.

I wonder how patient these two are. Virtually no runs in the last half hour isn't a huge problem if they see off Holder.

The good thing so far has been they have been patient previously, not like they are desperate to keep the scoreboard ticking over like someone like KP would be and will take risks. This pair look like they are happy batting for a long time like Cook used to.
