I'd take Wood over Archer depending on form. Wood has looked quicker of the 2
Wood isn’t fit to carry Archer’s jock strap as a bowling package though. Archer isn’t always *as* quick but he’s capable of dialling it back and being effective in most conditions, especially in England. I don’t know if Wood offers much more than going balls to the wall

Bess has literally C+P'd Lyon's action hasn't he? Even the little skip at the start.

Not a bad action to copy though tbf.
Doesn't get anywhere near as much on the ball though. Also has a much flatter trajectory from what I can see.

Good shout. it’s pretty similar isn’t it? Maybe a bit more under/ side spin than lyon but otherwise pretty similar

Tbh none of them look like they'll be good in Australian conditions. Anderson at 38 will do well to do a holding role, archer struggled in NZ so will find Aus harder. Wood despite his pace don't think he'll do any better with his injury record and inability to move the ball. Broad was decent in aus on his last tour so he might be decent.

Very good for the Windies here. Another couple of tough hours like this and they can open up the game in the third session if they keep wickets in hand

Only height a factor here you’d reckon

Surprised to see a decision go englands way on field...

Stupid bastard

Why would he need to frame by frame that? He’s a mile over.

I wonder if the on field umpire would have asked for a look at the front foot had that not been reviewed. It was clearly over
