The more I see of Chase, I think he's definitely better than "merely serviceable". WI need to go all pace attack unless it's in Asia or a really spin-friendly pitch, suits their strengths much better IMO.

It is what they did and got criticized for last two games TBF.

And Cornwall is a better spinner, as good as Chase can be.

Yea Stokes and Root have some damage to undo. WI haven't bowled especially well and you get value for shots on this wicket. One day mode once these 2 depart surely.

Was hard to infer much from that game because India completely dominated it and that's never going to give a spinner an opportunity to make an impact. I see he took a 10-fer against Afghanistan..

It's easy to compare the two bowling together in this situation and honestly, Chase's action looks like he's putting a lot more work on the ball, though I know TV can be deceiving.

Playing Gabriel in the second test was a big mistake....or bowling first

Hard to rest the big fella after how he bowled in the first test. Bowling first was the bigger mistake. I certainly would've stuck with him. Joseph for Chemar was an option certainly, but unlikely to be game changing.

Gabriel's problem wasn't fatigue or fitness imo, he was breathing fire yesterday despite playing his third Test and having bowled the entirety of the previous day. It's just a rhythm thing.
