The more I see of Chase, I think he's definitely better than "merely serviceable". WI need to go all pace attack unless it's in Asia or a really spin-friendly pitch, suits their strengths much better IMO.
Haven't been impressed by what little I've seen of Cornwall's bowling so far.It is what they did and got criticized for last two games TBF.
And Cornwall is a better spinner, as good as Chase can be.
It's shots like that that keep Jos in the XI.
Was a bit of a long hop, but beautifully dispatched.
**** me. I'll shut up now.
That's a bad shell from the big man. Let's hope young Oliver makes him pay.
Big fella plays straight and seems to have shots on both sides of the wicket.
Couple have been a bit squirty, but looks like he'll be a decent lower order bat at this level at worst.
Jinxed him as I type...
Brumby, England are well on top aren't they?Gorgeous back foot drive now.
Wee fella has his eye in.
EDIT: and finishes with a rank slog to make a liar of me...
Tbh I'd be chuffed if at any point when we tour, we're actually in a position to set up a declarationLol at England openers slow scoring when they need to go big...bring on the Ashes with that mindset
Was hard to infer much from that game because India completely dominated it and that's never going to give a spinner an opportunity to make an impact. I see he took a 10-fer against Afghanistan..@vcs: U saw him against India surely? He is comfortably better.

It's easy to compare the two bowling together in this situation and honestly, Chase's action looks like he's putting a lot more work on the ball, though I know TV can be deceiving.
Playing Gabriel in the second test was a big mistake....or bowling firstIdeally Chemar Holder and that allrounder Reifer for Joseph and Gabriel would have been good for the second test I guess. But Windies gotta Windies.
Hard to rest the big fella after how he bowled in the first test. Bowling first was the bigger mistake. I certainly would've stuck with him. Joseph for Chemar was an option certainly, but unlikely to be game changing.Ideally Chemar Holder and that allrounder Reifer for Joseph and Gabriel would have been good for the second test I guess. But Windies gotta Windies.
Are you suggesting I only sing when we're winning?Brumby, England are well on top aren't they?
Haha nah I think he just recongised that you'd jinxed your team's players repeatedly and so tried to get you to say something positive about them again to create a collapse. Are you suggesting I only sing when we're winning?
Harsh, IMHO.
