Hasn't got a big score but Chase has looked the most solid bat so far this series after Stokes. Took a brute to dismiss him in the second innings last game as well.

That was very daft from Holder. Batting like a proper 9 there with that shot. He is so much more disciplined usually. Hard to not think he relaxed mentally once Broad was out of his spell and Stokes went off the field.


Also, giving 11 over spells to any seam bowler is madness but why would you do that to someone who batted 350 balls and stayed at the wicket for God knows how many hours....

I'm glad it's indigestion but this is really asking for the fella to get injured. Root made him bowl his shoulder off against Australia in Leeds 1 wicket win and in that Holder 200 game as well.

Not sure I would have changed so much, really. Opened with Root and Burns, put Stokes at 3 and Buttler at 4 and Pope at 5. Then let the blockers come in when they want to.
