Has anyone hit more 3s than 4s in a hundred before
Thorpe may have hit a hundred in Pakistan in 2000 without any boundaries at all, so I'd start by looking at that one.

EDIT
It turns out he hit one four before reaching his hundred in the first test of that series.

Been messing around on espncricinfo....

Over the last 3 years, Root averages 41 with 5 tons.

Over the last 3 years, Stokes averages 43 with 6 tons (assuming he gets a ton here).

Over the last 2 years, Root averages 37 to Stokes' 42.

Over the last year, Root averages 40 to Stokes' 55.

I feel like WI's lack of success today was justice for them somewhat getting away with being so crap yesterday. Roach is desperately unlucky though.

There's not much value for shots in this pitch.

Yeah agree with that, today we have been excellent and really deserved 3 or 4 wickets. Yesterday was ordinary and we got more than we deserved.

Rakheem would have definitely causes problems here. Genuinely think not playing him is a big mistake. With rain about tomorrow and England batting this slowly we might still get out of jail though.

haven't seen much but has roach been genuinely unlucky or bowling too short therefore never gonna draw an edge but people think its down to luck? aka the flintoff/hilfenhaus syndrome.

my pet peeve

I'm only following text commentary, been on conference calls most of the day, but it seems that there have been a lot of balls too wide for the batsmen to play, surely this has some bearing on the strike rate? Very good test of the powers of concentration of Sibley and Stokes.

On TMS Cook said he thought Joseph was bowling "too pretty" and should maybe try a fuller length.

Hopefully see Sir Ben apply the foot to the gas slightly now.

Andy Zaltzman has just obligingly said it's his slowest ton by some little way. Previous slowest was 199 balls.

Agnew reckons this is close...

EDIT: Umpire's call

2nd EDIT: Third umpire's call on LBW reviews for Kemar. Have to say that's a wee bit unlucky.
