Wickets against this weak WI lineup just seem so inevitable. Like, don't do anything stupid and you won't need to wait much more than half an hour. It's sad.

Strange to hear Ch 7 comms gush over the Australians (5 of them) and their 2023 Test year.

They act like Australia won 12 in a row when in fact they lost in India and only hung on for a draw in England after being 2 up.

They won the WTC match against India but their only series win was against Pakistan at home which is hardly a shock to anyone.

Switched over to this test while the other test was having a drinks break.

Heard Micheal Vaughan on commentary.

Switched straight back over again.

With the weather forecast being so horrible for Days 3-5, Australia would be looking to wrap this up within 2 days. Certainly well on track for that.

Kraigg Brathwaite has a Test batting average of 34.44 as an opener. Out of all the Test batsman to have scored 5,000 runs or more in the opening position, his average is the lowest. The second lowest is Tamim Iqbal (Bangladesh) - 5,095 runs @ 38.89

I always look at him as not the best opener, but the best West Indies have. And their most committed Test Batsman of the last decade. It is still so peculiar to me that he hasnt played *ONE* T20 game in his career. That's wild. Even Test specialists like Elgar and Pujara played domestic T20.

It probably says a lot about West Indies First-Class cricket when thier best opening batsman is averaging as low as he does, which I think is too low in my opinion.

It's baffling Kraigg has changed almost nothing about the way he bats over the years. Dude's bat swing is more bent than a College footballer's schlong after 2 hours of Madonna preying on his raw flesh.

Is Da Silva like British or something? Dude's been sweating so profusely like sledger in a therapists office since ball 1

I don't like to judge a pitch before both teams have bowled, but this is reminding me of some of the concrete decks from the last years of the Kevin Mitchell Jr. era.

WI might have been better off bowling first if so, but then scoreboard pressure comes into it.
