I was about to make a silentstriker type GIF for SL test fast bowlers.
The wheel of eternal pie chuckers.

Dilhara Fernando is in every second entry.
Nissanka
Prasad
Welegedera
an actual chucker Perera
Buddhika
Amerasinghe

Still have a little bit of hope for Thushara:ph34r:

I think you are too harsh on some of them.
Prabath Nissanka never played much, but when he played he looked good. He once kept Windies batsmen including Lara hopping around when he took five for. Unfortunately he has got a terminal knee injury and was not able to bowl ever. If he continued would have been a real force. considered that he topped 90mph regularly.
Ishara Amerasinghe got a raw deal. He was our first 150k bowler, and while he was green without any big match fitness, selectors sent him to ENgland and got a stress fracture. He was never the same bowler again but on comeback was a sharp 140kish bowler. Bowled beautifully on Aussies wickets. But selectsuckers have rauined him for good. They had to wait few seasons until he matured. And SL missed their first truely express bowler.
Dilhara Fernando is always test match material. Selectors wanted him to be accurate and bowl L&L which is non sense. He's an impact bowler and should only play tests, and used in short spells asking him to give it everything to rough up the batsmen. We saw that in Brisbane, Sarwan will definitely know that (when he got smacked on the head in WC 2003), and few batsmen around the world also know that. Never given a extended run, but still averages 32, close to that of Malinga!.
Welagedara had some serious disciplinary problems. Before them he was good, and was poetry in motion when on song. It's the player him self who is responsible for that. He's definitely not a pie chucker, but he has made him self a laughing stock by concentrating on other things than cricket.
Prasad also the same story. He always played on flattest of decks, against most explosive of openers. Bowled beautifully in Australia and in FC matches there. He needs some lateral movement to succeed. Only fast bwoler in SL who has that bastard attitude. But this fellow seriously needs to check his brain up because frequently has brain farts.

Charitha Buddhika and Ruchira Perera are clearly useless. Not worth to spend space on them even.

Personally, the 2 who played the first test were pretty poor and I hope neither of them come close to national selection in the near future. Welegedera seems like the best option and after that they might as well get back Nuwan Zoysa IMO, certainly better than most of the guys who have been playing recently.

Thushara is decent; he was coming back from a long injury lay-off and was probably a bit underdone. Certainly a lot better than what he showed in the first Test. Prasad is dire though.

Does anyone remember the first 20minutes of the game? Gayle couldn't get bat on ball on any of Thushara's deliveries

He was so wide that day. Usually Thushara is gun barrel straight and bouncy. Nothing much of extravegant seam movement of swing for him.

Is Zoysa still playing?? What happened to him?? He seemed to be a decent bowler. Could generate steep bounce with that height of his.

Zoysa is still playing but he struggles to get in to fast medium category. More or less medium fast bowler. He's terribly unfit though.

Mouth-watering contest, Sanga vs. Roach. Roach beats the bat on the first delivery.

What a brilliant delivery by Roach!!.. and he bowls Dilshan!!.. we strike early once again, get Sanga cheaply and they will be in a spot of bother again.

I must say Roach is starting to look like a class act right now!!.. and i'm loving it.

And Sammy's beating Piranha's bat at will. Good start for the Windies here again.

Beautifully played by Sangakkara on the backfoot, gets the quick single. Gets the uncertain Piranha on strike though.

WTF Randiv has been dropped for Herath? That is an interesting decision...
