Sheesh, Liam.. I ended up feeling very sorry for you whilst watching the Port Elizabeth ODI! Nobody should have to put up with that dross every day, the match was there for the WI and they handed it over on a plate..

When Lara ran himself out, i was speechless, it was like cricketing suicide...

On the plus side, Rampaul looks like he can hold a bat, and Dillon smashed one into the Holiday Inn :D

It's incredible the scrutiny on Lara especially since 54 all out. Many people appear to be blaming Lara for the collapse. IMO he should bat at 3. You want your best player facing as many balls as possible.

Hinds and Samuels are sorely missed at the moment. They've both been key 1-day players in recent times. If they were playing ahead of Smith and Powell the side would look much stronger.

Lara seems to like being run out at Port Elizabeth...my mind goes back to the World Cup last year when Vincent & Cairns combined to run out Lara.

I'd still be inclined to have him opening, with Hinds at 3, but either way the team would be a lot stronger. If Hurley could show some of his domestic form with the bat, we'd have a strong line-up down to 8 and 8 bowling options (including Sarwan).

Sarwan opening? Kurt Wilkinson to make his ODI debut I predict for Game 3.
Wilkinson hasn't been included, which must do his confidence the world of good! The team are bowled out twice for a total of about 220 and a reserve specialist bat still can't get a game.

I was just about to post how well Powell was batting, but after raising his bat for his 50 he creams one to deep square-leg.

West Indies quietly well-placed in the 4th ODI v SA.

Chanderpaul batted brilliantly for 92 off 75 balls.

Not so quiet now. :O

44.1 Nel to Lara, SIX, out of the books, picked up over a wide midwicket boundary
44.2 Nel to Lara, FOUR, picked up to a lonf on boundary, well played
44.3 Nel to Lara, bye: FOUR, beats the bat, fooled Boucher and over the rope
44.6 Nel to Lara, FOUR, got bat to it, over a fine leg boundary for a great win.

All over. Brilliant batting from West Indies. Special mentions to Chanderpaul 92 (75 balls), Sarwan 77 (102), Lara 59 (37) and also Kallis 7-0-37-1 and Pollock 10-0-40-2.

Nel 6 - 0 - 63 - 0.

I feel privileged to have seen that six that Lara smacked off Nel. Unbelievable.

Notable is that he hit 12 runs off the 3 balls he faced from Peterson - 2 fours.

Unfortunately I missed that match, I would of loved to see Chanderpaul and Lara in full force dominating. More importantly I would of loved to see Nel's face, oh boy that would of been classic.

West Indies winning makes me a happy chap :)
