Better weather and less crime. Gotta agree with you there, Volty.

Though you need to keep an eye on your wallet. Those robins over on Somes are cheeky little pickpockets if you give 'em a chance.

Random thought here, but has anyone seen a less capable batsman at international level than Shaun Findlay?

His selection makes my blood boil as he has done absolutely nothing in his domestic career to be selected, and to top it all off he doesn't even look that talented.
He's a decent ODI player which is why he has been selected, not a real prospect for any test side though.
I think that's a very loose definition of "decent" even by ODI standards. Findlay is a poor batsman. He only seems capable of scoring runs when the bowling is short or poor outside offstump.
Exactly. Marshall hasn't scored many runs domestically but you watch him bat for 2 minutes and you can see the talent and shot making ability. But Findlay is just embarrassing. I hate watching him play and miss trying to dab the spinners to 3rd man every ball.

He is the ultimate insular pick.
Actually had a good domestic season last time around plus making a 50 against Australia. Will only have this last series though I reckon and if he does nowt will be dropped IMO.
Good to see more people with an interest in West Indies cricket around these parts btw.
Aye.

His season was only "good" average-wise. He only scored 157 runs in 5 innings, but with the benefit of 2 not outs (including one half-century) his average was over 50. The domestic season is very short, but I think to qualify as good a player would have to at least have a hundred to his name.

Chanderpaul out with a slight injury, and NZ won the toss and elected to bowl.

Disastrous already for WI. No team has batted first and won at Queenstown.

Damn cricket gods. Its an absolute cracker today in Christchurch, yet Saturdays forecast is showers for the Christchurch ODI & fine for Queenstown, go figure

Gayle unlucky there, doesn't look like he hit that. Really takes the gloss off if we win this game now, considering we didn't get their best player out fairly. :(

Mills has bowled well though so I'm glad he got his reward. Just wish he'd got it fair and square.
