***Official*** West Indies in New Zealand

Yep true, so in cases like the VB Series they'd have to let channel 9 show it whilst cover all other series going on at that time, rather than just one which is what Fox Sports usually do. But you're right, its a problem because they wouldn't be entitled to show full replays whilst Fox Footy can show full replays of games shown on free to air television.

The closest I've seen Foxtel get to a 24hr cricket channel was when they had Fox Sports 1 showing the Australia vs. NZ ODI last year when NZ made that record breaking chase, and as that match was coming to a close (about the last 10-15 overs) on Fox Sports 2 they had the 1st ODI between Pakistan and England. Was quite cool to switch between 2 channels and both of them have cricket :D

Its interesting that whilst I've been watching live stream of Sky Sports Ind vs. Eng, they have this cool thing where they are showing the Ind vs. Eng test, however if the viewer wants to watch SA vs. Aus ODI, they press the 'red' button and it switches to that. Since Foxtel already have Sports Active where you can press the 'red' button for replays and highlights and stats etc. this could be a pretty cool addition.

Doesn't sound like much of a footy channel to me. :p

This match sounds rather interestingly poised. What do you guys think, is it worth to get up and watch at 3 AM?
If Fidel Edwards bowls like he did last night, most certainly!

I was thrilled to watch the West Indies in the field last night, because they looked more enthusiastic than I've seen them since the CT. Even when How and Fulton were in and batting well. They really never let the desire slip away, and when Bradshaw took that fine catch on the boundary, it was one of the moments that epitomized the unfamiliar excitement in the West Indies camp.

The other moment was when Styris had some words for Edwards before he was dismissed, and Edwards had just hit him on the helmet then was hit was for four. The smile on Edwards' face was precious, because it seemed to indicate that he was truly enjoying himself out there.

A West Indian fast bowler enjoying himself is a precious sight these days.

yep, but Liam, why isn't Best or Powell playing in this match?

The problem is, there's times like now when there's 3 Tests going on at once, but then there's a lot of time when there's little going on. What could they show then?
Digital Television is a wonderous thing. I bet it could switch between feeds. Hell, I'd like to see some form of highlights, as we have seen pretty much nothing of ind-eng and nothing of wi-nz. Personally, any series with Bangaldesh in it doesn't interest me.

Best is neither on tour nor is he Test calibre.
I presume Powell isn't playing because he hasn't played cricket since mid-February. It begs the question though, why didn't the Test specialists play for the 'A' team against England? They could have used that first "Test" to get some match practice in before heading to New Zealand. I would have still preferred to see Powell in there ahead of Jerome "injury-spree" Taylor.

yeah, Powell looked like the only one capable of bowling consistently good lines and lengths at decent speed and with a hint of movement. With experience, I thought he would go on to be a very very good bowler. And I heard he is not as bad as some of the other Windies bowlers with the bat.

That's where interactive coverage could be used like they do on Champions League nights in the UK on Sky sports. Just hit the red button and watch whatever of the 8 games you like. Same sort of thing could be used when games clash.

They already do that with the cricket - on Sunday when India-Eng clashed with SA-Aus, SA-Aus was available via the red button.

My point was what would they show in the time when there is no cricket on.

A thing I noticed about Chris Martin is that he tends to go for a few but he does take wickets on occasions even though most of them arn't sectacular. James Franklin double century today and tommorow! :)

Another good weather forecast according to nzherald.co.nz, the showers have moved on to tomorrow only apparently... here's hoping for a good day's cricket, and some decent batting from NZ.

What's happened to Jerome Taylor?, pulled up with a knock or something if so that's a blow because Bradshaw has bowled one to many overs me thinks already and Edwards is the sort of bowler who is effective in quick spurts not prolonged spells.

Well Franklin’s knock has come to end, well played though occupied the crease and did his job. Supposedly Gayle is getting some decent turn.

WI with a real chance here, but they wouldn't want to chase anything more than 250, if that. They need another strike, Astle preferably.
