***Official*** West Indies in New Zealand

Haven't all the big knocks so far been made by people who hit with a high strike rate? Astle hit 51 off 57, Styris hit 103 off 122... well, that's all the big knocks we've had so far anyway.

Ian Smith is right, this pitch has flattened out now. The bowlers will have to bowl well to get wickets.

Jeez that was a terrible decision by Harper. By that I mean the dead ball he signalled when Sarwan clearly tried to play a leg glance. The ball went for 4.

He's had a couple of knocks on the head recently so they're being careful with him.

West Indies need to get within 50 runs of NZ or they could be in a bit of trouble.

Chris Martin bowls a whole load of crap. He bowls 1 good ball every 3 or 4 overs. We really need Ian Butler or Daryl Tuffey back.

To be fair Tim, so does Franklin.
I think Franklin is a little more consistent than Martin. I am starting to think I would have preffered Mills. I know I would have preferred Mason. We relly need a Chatfield type bowler in the test team right now. And in the ODI team TBH.

Majority of the time Franklin bowls pies. It's only one or two overs a session that he bowls competitively. And in between times it's head down, shoulders slumped forward, feet kicking the ground back to his mark all the while thinking "O man why me, the world has forsaken me. Woe!"

Who knows. Maybe he isn't "pea-hearted"...

Two overs, two maidens for Vettori. He and Bond could really work well together here. Judging by Cricinfo, Bond is going for fours, but he's also getting a lot of edges and mis-hits from the batsmen. Surely if he keeps this up then another Windie will fall before too many runs are on the board.

EDIT: Or, you know, they could go for lunch. :p
