Not Terrible
Is this our strongest T20 XI?

Franklin for Munro could be a possibility and Milne could go for a half dozen players. Not really any other changes I can think to make. Vettori would be nice if he becomes available for a world T20 game or something.

Munro > Franklin for me. Franko only comes off 1 game in 10. I'm a fan of Munro's in the short-form, hits to different areas than other NZ batsmen.

Yeah I think this is full strength, or at least what the selectors think is full strength. Milne and Munro are definitely the most debatable selections.

This is going to sound like blasphemy, and I do hate him so, but I'd seriously consider Devcich. I think it's good to have two spin options in T20 cricket even if one of them is just as sixth bowler type, and Devcich's bowling is effective in T20 in an anti-cricket kind of way. Unlikely to waste a lot of deliveries at bat either despite being realistically below the class required to be a specialist international batsman in any format.

Is ronchi really the best option?
Yeah he definitely is in T20. I suppose you could pick Latham but keeping wicket and batting in the middle order definitely seems to go against what the New Zealand selectors are trying to work him towards at the moment (although that's how Canterbury use him in T20 I believe?), and I don't think he'd be as good at that role as Ronchi anyway.

Poor batting NZ. Lost the impetuous we had at the start. They need to learn to be ruthless in T20's and at the very worse looks for a single. What's with this dead-bat blocking lark?

Pff,Honestly have very little expectations of Taylor in T20s these days. His T20 batting has declined at about the same rate his Test batting has improved. Can't remember the last time he played a good T20 innings at any level tbh.

Let's see what Munro can do, I rate the guy.
