I really really don;t rate Rutherford. Awful batsman, looks like getting out at any moment. The fact that he has struggled against this attack (which is as easy as it will get at this level lets face it) says it all. Even if he scores a few here, I don;t think he's going to make it at test level unless he does an awful lot of mental and technical work.

Can understand you thinking that, although ironically in his test debut he scored more than England's entire 1st innings against the bowling attack of Anderson, Broad, Finn & Panesar, so ironically he has belted good attacks around.

He cannot have been in this type of form then. Either that or it must have been the road of all roads. Tbf, Marlon has looked like a tailender in this series and he is one of the more elegant right handers around when in form. Cricket is a funny game.
